English-Language Radio in Luxembourg

Since 2000, ARA City Radio has been a key part of Radio ARA. Broadcasting in English on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., we inform and entertain Luxembourg’s growing international community. We don’t just deliver news—we offer an open platform for engaged citizens to share their voices.

Every morning at 6:30 a.m., Erin takes over the microphone, easing you into the new day with a mix of indie music, quality pop and timeless classics on the breakfast show. From 7 a.m. onwards, you get the latest local and international news headlines and relevant interviews on culture, arts and society. After that, the midmorning show accompanies you through the late morning with a diverse music mix and different hosts every day. Presenters at ARA City Radio aren’t bound to desks or playlists—they craft their own shows with listener input.

After 1 p.m., new listeners might be surprised by the mix of languages and sounds—ARA broadcasts in 17 languages. Every day between 1 and 2 p.m., our volunteers air shows in Ukrainian, Arabic, Romanian, Serbo-Croatian, Albanian, Persian, Chinese, Polish, Spanish, Russian, African French, African English and others. Our multilingual community shows respond to the growing need for information access and representation of the diverse immigrant communities.
