Radio ARA’s crowdfunding concert
We look back on our Lux Mini Fest that took place on Friday 30th May with immense pleasure and pride. It was an epic evening with great music, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. We started our evening with drinks, a jingle-making workshop, the unveiling of our history wall showcasing the history of 33+ years of Radio ARA and delicious food from Chiche!, the Buvette and cake stand offering delicious homemade goodies. And all this while our very own Evangelos (Unfamiliar Sounds, every Friday from 10:00 to 13:00) lifted us to festival atmospheres with his music. At 19:00 our amazing line-up, starting with Hembadoon got our visitors in swinging mood with their African beats. They were followed by the great blues artist Kid Colling who, for the occasion collaborated with a drummer he had never played with before (talk about amazing professionals that sound like they have played together for years!!!). They were followed by The Kools; the very cool duo that produces rock music as if a full band is playing. Maz Univerze performed a heartfelt an unplugged version of his emo-rap with references to punk and metal music and The X closed our amazing line-up with their electronic sound and fiery energy. The line up showcased the variety of Radio ARA, our love of music of all genres and our fulfilment of being the radio for all voices. The evening left us all in high spirits for the great quality of our artists, the fantastic atmosphere and our teamwork resulting in this first, perhaps annual (?) Crowdfunding Concert – A Lux Mini Fest. To all of you who participated, supported it and were a part of it, we wholeheartedly thank you!
