Why crowdfunding

Radio ARA is one of the oldest community-driven and independent radio stations in Luxembourg. We’re proud of our station that offers a platform for voices and stories you rarely hear in commercial media—open to new talents and diverse perspectives, with a focus on building bridges between Luxembourg’s different communities. Plus, we are free to play any and all music that we love.

For our operations, we receive support from the Ministry of Media, but as an independent and non-commercial radio station, we don’t depend on ad revenues. Instead, we rely on additional community-based funding to grow, evolve, and work in a sustainable way.

Supporting Radio ARA means:

  • Keeping radio independent, accessible, and non-commercial
  • Training young people and volunteers in hands-on media work
  • Supporting grassroots, diverse, and creative projects
  • Maintaining our studio, equipment, and broadcast quality
  • Staying community-focused in a media landscape increasingly shaped by commercial interests.

Do you love Radio ARA? Then you should be part of Radio ARA’s Crowdfunding Lux Mini Fest 2025!

It’s more than a great concert—it’s a way to support independent radio, creative freedom, and community voices in Luxembourg.
