About this Episode

Two topics tonight, both of them touching on mental health!
First up, Patrick Byrne, the President of Healing of Memories Luxembourg , talks to us about the life-changing work of Father Michael Lapsley, who was an activist against apartheid in South Africa and become the victim of a parcel bomb in which he lost both hands. Through his own pain, he discovered a method to help others by encouraging them to tell their stories in a safe space. Patrick tells us more and also tells us about the upcoming Healing of Memories workshop happening in Luxembourg on Saturday, 28 June from 9h00 – 18h00. Find out more here:
Qui sommes-nous ? – Every story needs a listener …
In the second part of tonight’s show, we’ll change gears – slightly – to talk about the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Joining me in the studio are three avid bikers and participants – Mark Kitchell, organiser of the Luxembourg event, and two sponsors/partners in crime, Christian Thill from Triumph and Rui Miroto from ReBounce clothing and accessories. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride takes place on 18 May this year, and raise awareness about men’s mental health and prostate cancer. It also raises funds – and you can chip in!
