Leatherman is a hard-rocking, power-popping band hailing from Melbourne, Australia. Formed by members of notable local acts such as Clowns and Cable Ties, the quintet comprises Annabel Brown (vocals), Jake Laderman (drums), Shauna Boyle (bass), Ben Redlich (guitar), and Jarrod Goon (guitar).
Their music is a vibrant fusion of ’70s guitar-driven rock, ’80s heavy metal, and catchy power pop. Described as “five lunatics on a mission to bust ears, flow tears, steal beer and make a party,” Leatherman delivers energetic performances that blend gritty riffs with infectious melodies.
Leatherman debuted with the 7-inch single “Telephone / Tryin’ 2 4get” in October 2023, showcasing their unique sound that balances pop sensibilities with heavy metal influences. Their debut album, Turn You On, was released on April 10, 2025, via Legless Records. The album is described as an unapologetic love letter to the audacity of rock and roll, combining the theatrics of ’70s guitar-hero rock, the excess of ’80s metal, and the irresistible hooks of power pop .
