PROTECTION OF WHISTLEBLOWERS

Since the entry into force of the law of May 16, 2023 transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 23, 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law (only available in French), whistleblowers (“lanceurs d’alerte”) benefit from effective protection against all forms of retaliation.

Radio ARA, including its four entities Alter Echos s.à r.l. (broadcasting licence holder) and the program providers Mond op asbl, Graffiti asbl and ARA International Community Radio asbl, is a small organisation exempted by the law for providing an internal whistleblowing service.

ALIA is the competent authority for the audiovisual media sector, which has set up a procedure and a secure external reporting channel for the reception and processing of reports.

This channel guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of the author of a report and of any third party mentioned in a report.

PROTECTION DES LANCEURS D’ALERTE

Depuis l’entrée en vigueur de la loi du 16 mai 2023 portant transposition de la directive (UE) 2019/1937 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 23 octobre 2019 sur la protection des personnes qui signalent des violations ou omissions du droit de l’Union, les lanceurs d’alerte («whistleblowers») bénéficient d’une véritable protection contre toutes formes de représailles.

Radio ARA, comprenant ses quatre entités Alter Echos s.à r.l. (détenteur de la permission d’émettre) et les contributeurs de programme Mond op asbl, Graffiti asbl et ARA International Community Radio asbl, est une petite organisation exonérée par la loi pour établir un service de lanceurs d’alerte interne.

ALIA est l’autorité compétente pour le secteur des médias audiovisuels, qui a mis en place une procédure et un canal de signalement externe sécurisé pour la réception et le traitement de signalements.

Ce canal garantit la confidentialité de l’identité de l’auteur du signalement et de tout tiers mentionné dans le signalement.
