Produced in collaboration with Radio ARA, the show bridges past and present by uncovering lesser-known stories from Luxembourg’s history and connecting them to contemporary life, identity, and living together in a multicultural society. Episodes range from deep dives into historical figures, traditions, and milestones to conversations with modern voices working in culture, media, education, and civic life.
At its core, Bourgmeisterin is about context: helping newcomers, long-term residents, and locals alike better understand Luxembourg beyond headlines and stereotypes. The show invites listeners to slow down, listen closely, and rediscover the country through thoughtful research, accessible storytelling, and human-centred conversations.
Bourgmeisterin is part of a wider cultural project that includes written long-reads, live events, and recorded fireside chats, all with the shared goal of strengthening cultural literacy, curiosity, and dialogue in Luxembourg.
