The Cancer Foundation has expressed concern about smoking rates in Luxembourg after a survey found that one third of residents aged 16 and over smoke. Stress was identified as the main reason for starting smoking. The foundation is calling for stronger prevention efforts targeting young people.
Meanwhile, the health ministry launches the country’s first Women’s Health Week. The campaign includes conferences, workshops and awareness activities aimed at improving information on women’s health and drawing attention to conditions that are often overlooked or underdiagnosed.
