Delegations from Ukraine, Russia and the United States are holding a third round of talks in Geneva, nearly four years after the full-scale invasion began. With gaps still wide, there are concerns that US President Donald Trump could press Kyiv to accept territorial compromises.

The European Union is preparing a full ban on maritime services for Russian oil tankers, Economy Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis said. The measure forms part of a 20th sanctions package.

Iran temporarily closed the Strait of Hormuz for military drills led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. A second round of indirect nuclear talks with Washington has concluded in Geneva.
