Ukraine has launched one of its largest drone attacks of the war, according to Russian authorities. Moscow says around 600 drones targeted the region overnight, with about 200 intercepted. Six people were reportedly killed in Moscow and Rostov. Russian attacks meanwhile killed at least five people across Ukraine.
Two Spanish fighter jets operating under a NATO mission shot down an unidentified drone over Romania near the Moldovan border. Romanian authorities have not confirmed its origin. The incident follows several recent drone incursions into NATO airspace.
At least 12 people died when a Polish tourist coach overturned on Hungary’s M3 motorway. Ten people were seriously injured and firefighters rescued dozens of passengers. The driver was taken into custody.
In Indonesia, more than 50 people died after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Flores island. Around 5,000 people were displaced and more than 900 homes were severely damaged. Landslides have blocked access to several villages, while authorities recorded more than 300 aftershocks.
