During this episode of The Silent Truth, we explore the mysterious disappearance of Skye Budnick, a young American woman who vanished in Japan in 2008. We retrace her background, her journey, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, and the various theories surrounding what may have happened to her. In the second half of the episode, Cupid takes over and turns the attention to one of Austria’s most disturbing criminal cases: Josef Fritzl. We examine Fritzl’s background, the disturbing circumstances that led to his daughter Elisabeth being held captive in a concealed cellar beneath the family home for 24 years, the abuse and manipulation that allowed him to conceal his crimes, and how the case ultimately came to light in 2008.
