Uyi Nosa-Odia wears many hats. He is a contemporary afrocentric artist with over 150 professional artworks in private and public collections in Nigeria, Russia, Luxembourg, France, Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, UK and Spain serving government ministries, museums, municipalities, galleries, public institutions and private collectors; and he has participated in more than 20 exhibitions. He has worked in IT, as a business consultant and is the founder and director of Lëtz Art, a Luxembourg non-profit dedicated to socio-economic integration and cultural diversity.
Adding to his business portfolio a new creative cultural curator hub called 1X, Uyi is looking to connect the world in Luxembourg through carefully crafted networking events and opportunities. He stepped into the Nubian Lounge to speak with Hembadoon about the prospects of this new endeavour and the official launch of its activities with the organization of a meet & greet evening with Afrobeats legacy artist, Seun Kuti.
Seun, the son of Fela Anikulapo Kuti who carried on the task of the Egypt 80 band is coming to Luxembourg as part of his Euro tour. He will play at the Neimenster Abbey, after which there will be an exclusive gathering in his honour.
