Alba Nzame Eyogo is a Franco-Gabonese woman, an architect and a literature enthusiast whose love for books led her to become an active member of Book and Brunch, a literary club in Paris when she first arrived in Europe. She moved to Luxembourg at the end of 2020 and has since founded the PanAfro Book Club.

The PanAfro book club was founded in 2021 in response to the lack of spaces dedicated to discussing literature by authors of African descent. Since its creation, the club has continued to promote, showcase, and make accessible works by authors of African descent in Luxembourg. Today, it is officially established as a non-profit organization in 2026, and brings together more than 400 registered literary members through its registration portal on Meetup. The club boasts around 30 active participants who meet each month to discuss selected books, as well as to take part in conferences that encourage dialogue between authors and their readers.

Alba came on the Nubian Lounge to talk to Hembadoon about African Literature, her passion for books and the collaboration between The City Library of Luxembourg and the PanAfro Book club with an event coming up in June 16, 2026. The event is part of a conference series entitled « Les Mardis littéraires, “Literary Tuesdays” organized by the City Library, a series featuring talks by authors centered on one or more of their works. The conference will welcome award winning Nigerian author Abi Daré who will present her two novels, “The Girl with the Louding Voice”, published in 2020, and “And So I Roar” released in 2024 by Penguin Books in the UK. Alba will moderate the session for the day.
