About this Episode
Stepping into the Nubian Lounge today, Moses Okutachi, a philosopher and the project manager of One People asbl shed light into the activities of the planned month-long Black History Month Luxembourg 2026.
Themed “DNA, Heritage”, BHM Luxembourg follows a global structural plan to celebrate the African descendants and share the pre-colonial histories that may have been erased over centuries of migration, domination and oppression. With the adoption of a patron and matron, the celebrations are marked by bipoc and allies of its communities.
Its 2026 edition is robust with activities that span through theoretical debates, panel discussions, musical displays, educational programmes with elementary schools and higher institutions. The opening ceremony officially kicks off on Oct 3, 2026 and activities will run through the entire month of October 2026.
