About this Episode
Malta is a small island country located in the Mediterranean Sea, between Sicily and North Africa, and is approximately eight times smaller than Luxembourg. Known for its honey-coloured limestone architecture, colourful traditional balconies and dramatic coastline, Malta has become one of Europe’s most popular filming locations, hosting productions such as Gladiator, Troy and The Count of Monte Cristo, among many others. Beyond its spectacular landscapes, Malta has also built a strong international reputation as a destination for film and television production.
Among its local television productions is Brillanti Dance, a high-quality dance talent competition broadcast on ONE TV, which showcases some of Malta’s finest dance talent. Marc-Antoine had the opportunity to meet one of the show’s judges.
Brenda Lee Grech is a professional ballet dancer, choreographer and teacher who has developed an international career across several countries, performing and working with renowned dance companies. In this interview, she shares insights into her artistic journey, her experience with Brillanti Dance, and whether a similar production could one day be created in Luxembourg.
