About this Episode
Seun Oboite moved to Luxembourg to start a new life and career after the brexit, and quickly settled in to work and a new multicultural network. Carrying on the connections outside of work became a real challenge as social life started to dwindle. He created SoSickHQ to bring in events and branded social experiences for his community.
To get people out of the online bubble into real world connections, he is building MetIRL, a social platform focused on making it easier for people to meet like minds, make plans, and foster face to face meetups around Luxembourg.
With a world view in mind, Seun has started a movement that has drawn in over 500 people in a few months, creating friendships and helping communities thrive. He shared his story and motivations with us on the Nubian Lounge; how his interests in technology, AI, product strategy, start-ups and community building have given him a unique mix of experience in building digital products that bring people together and grow communities.
