Health authorities began offering the drug lenacapavir in selected public clinics. The injection is provided free to eligible patients and reduces the need for daily prevention pills. Officials say this could improve adherence and lower infection risk. Kenya received 21,000 doses through cooperation with the Global Fund and pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences. More shipments are expected. Around four to five percent of adults in Kenya live with HIV.
