Israeli air strikes have killed at least 21 people in southern Lebanon, Lebanese health ministry declared, including 12 who died when a house was hit and several children among the dead. The strikes on Nabatieh and Tyre districts have also injured scores of people. The violence has continued despite a recent US‑brokered ceasefire extension, with Israel saying it targets Hezbollah and the group responding with rockets and clashes that have killed combatants on both sides.

Lithuania has warned residents to shelter and rushed President Gitanas Nausėda and Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė to bunkers after a drone violated Vilnius airspace and prompted suspension of air and rail traffic. The defence ministry alert lasted about an hour as authorities tracked a radar signal linked to an unmanned aerial vehicle reportedly coming from Latvia and Belarusian airspace. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO officials have blamed Russia and Belarus for diverting Ukrainian drones.
