Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least 13 people and injured around 90 over the weekend. Strikes hit several cities, including Kharkiv, where a missile struck an apartment block. Ukrainian drone attacks also killed five people in Russia’s Belgorod region.
More than one million people were evacuated after Typhoon Dolphin struck eastern China with winds above 150 kilometres per hour. Flights were cancelled and emergency shelters opened as heavy rain threatened the region.
Wildfires are also burning in Spain, Canada and Indonesia. Hundreds have been evacuated in Spain, British Columbia declared a state of emergency, and Indonesia closed a national park after fire spread across Mount Bromo.
