Israel approved registering large parts of the occupied West Bank as state property. Ministers said it supports settlement policy and security. Palestinian leaders condemned the move. Analysts call it de facto annexation.

France formed a magistrate team to review the Epstein files for possible offences involving French nationals. Prosecutors stressed that being named does not imply wrongdoing.

Germany recorded more than 1,500 right-wing violent crimes in 2025. Overall such offences fell slightly.

At the Munich Security Conference, Kaja Kallas urged stronger European defence. The United States said Europe can rely on it for nuclear deterrence.
