Three of five former officers were sentenced over a May 2023 assault at Gare police station. The Caisse nationale de santé (CNS) published a list of 13 fake doctors to warn about a rise in forged sick‑leave certificates purchased online, reminding that any medical certificate issued without a genuine consultation would be systematically rejected. Benefits would not be paid, employers would be informed and legal proceedings could follow; the CNS also recalled penalties and noted some names had already appeared in warnings from foreign authorities.
Because of the heatwave, the government has authorised outdoor construction sites to start work at 6:00 instead of the usual 7:00 for the duration of the red alert, the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity Ministry announced.
