Fighting across the Middle East has intensified after joint Israeli and United States strikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader. Iran targeted US bases in the Gulf and Iraq. A British base in Cyprus was also hit. Hezbollah and Israel exchanged fire. Shipping and flights are disrupted. Britain began evacuations. More than 500 Luxembourg residents remain stranded.

In Pakistan, nine people died in protests at the US consulate in Karachi.

Pakistan also bombed Kabul and Kandahar, declaring open war on the Taliban.

Belgium seized a tanker linked to Russia’s shadow fleet.
