
About this Episode
Eyitayo Faderin is a half Ghanaian, half Nigerian who is now a citizen of Luxembourg since 2017. She grew up in Nigeria to an indigenous Lagos family, studied at the University of Sokoto in Northern Nigeria and worked for a decade in one of the largest banks in Africa, Ecobank transnational Incorporated. She holds a Masters degree in International business and finance from the University of Liverpool.
Her life-work experience has been in the private finance sector, in the public sector (government), and in the non-profit space. She is an entrepreneur and has been running her own business for several years now. She currently works for one of the leading global financial institutions in Luxembourg.
Eyitayo moved to the UK in 2001 where she lived for 7 years before meeting her husband in 2006 and moving to Luxembourg in 2007. She is married with two children.
Eyitayo is an advocate, she is passionate about social and racial justice, culture, representation and issues around children’s access to education. She is a huge fan of the great Abami Eda, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and she spends some time on this episode talking with Hembadoon about a range of topics from a South-Western girl growing up in the North of Nigeria, to Father’s Day, to finding her way to Luxembourg, to musical tastes and the evolution of Afrobeat to Afrobeats.
