The European Commission urges rapid rollout of an age-verification app to protect minors online. Member states are asked to deploy it before the end of the year. The tool lets users prove they meet age limits without sharing identity details. Officials say it protects privacy while restricting harmful content. The move follows breaches of the Digital Services Act by platforms like Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.

The UN Human Rights Office warns of executions and mass arrests in Iran. At least 21 people have been executed and over 4,000 detained since the US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28th. Cases include protest links, opposition ties and espionage charges. UN High Commissioner expressed alarm. He urged Tehran to halt executions and release detainees.

Ukraine plans to open arms exports through so-called “drone deals.”, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced. Exports will target partner countries that support Kyiv. Other states will be excluded over ties with Russia. The deals will cover drones, missiles, equipment and expertise. Ukraine will also simplify export procedures while keeping controls.
