Season two’s first episode features Kyriaki Pafiou, a student in Music Psychology in Education, Performance and Wellbeing at the University of Sheffield, UK. She is an advocate of the participation of children with disabilities in music education.
In this episode of Dive in with (e)me, we discuss the research project Kyriaki Pafiou conducted on the impact of music on the learning abilities of individuals who have Down’s Syndrome. She explains how she came to the idea of this research, the methodology she used and tell us about the results of the study. We also discuss the role of society in the current, little developed state of special music education.
