Hello, you are listening to the radio Ara. I am Marina Khomutova and this is a radio show ARA RUSSIA for peace.

My today’s guest is Artyom Kuyda- the author of the debut book “My Kazakh Wedding.” But he’s not just a writer, and this is not just a one-time story.

Artyom works as a teacher with children with special needs. It’s a job that requires patience, attention, and real connection. You can’t stay distant in this kind of work – you have to be present.

And this experience clearly shapes the way he writes.

His book is not only about another culture or a personal story. It’s also about how we see and understand things,  without rushing, without simplifying.

At the center, there is a personal experience: becoming part of a Kazakh tradition, and trying to understand what it means to be both inside and outside at the same time. But the book doesn’t turn this into something exotic – it looks at it in a simple and honest way.

In this conversation, we talk about how the book started, why he decided to write it, and how his work influences the way he sees people and himself.

Stay with us = all the details are coming up very soon
