Anna Kuleshova – sociologist, journalist and founder of LuxEureka  is our guest today.

A book about Friedrich Spee, a speech in the European Parliament, the history of the Armenian Genocide, artificial intelligence and the German language – at first glance, these topics seem to have nothing in common. Yet it is precisely these unexpected connections that define her work.

Anna shows how global history reveals itself through local stories. Thanks to her initiatives, nearly thirty events have already taken place in Luxembourg – from public talks and discussions to theatre performances and concerts.

One of today’s topics is a little-known Luxembourg episode related to the Armenian Genocide: a railway engineer who received a strange assignment from the Ottoman Empire, realised early on where things were heading, and tried to raise the alarm.

The conversation then shifts sharply to the present day. Why does artificial intelligence still perform noticeably worse in German than in English, French or Spanish? And could this technological imbalance be linked to colonial history?

History, technology, memory and power – in conversation with Anna Kuleshova these fields come together as one.

And looking ahead: new projects are on the horizon, including an international conference on women’s rights and the arrival of Theatre.doc, where the personal once again becomes political.

Stay with us – this conversation will not follow a familiar path.
