Today we’d like to share a conversation that was recorded back in October, but honestly, it doesn’t feel dated at all. Quite the opposite – it’s one of those interviews you want to return to calmly, without rushing.

In October, Alexander Panchin visited Luxembourg for the third time with his public lectures. PhD in Biology, science communicator, and one of those rare speakers who can talk about complex science clearly, with humor, and without sounding preachy.

We met Alexander just before one of his lectures, somewhere between suitcases, slides, and a busy schedule. And maybe that’s why this conversation turned out to be so alive – not a lecture, not a performance, but an honest dialogue.

We talked about something that not so long ago sounded like pure science fiction: radical life extension. Why aging is not simply “wear and tear,” what modern biology is already capable of, and where healthy skepticism is still absolutely necessary.

But at some point, the conversation naturally moved beyond science. We talked about fear of aging, our desire to live longer, and whether we are truly ready for a world in which human life might look very different from what we know today.

If you didn’t make it to Alexander Panchin’s lectures in Luxembourg, this interview is your chance to catch up.
And if you were there – consider this a continuation, without slides or stage lights, just a thoughtful and very human conversation.
