My guest was once again artist, teacher, and founder of the Start Art studio, Veronica Lobanova. We had a special reason to talk -Start Art has just celebrated its 5th anniversary! Together we looked back at what has been achieved and what lies ahead.
Veronica spoke about painting restoration and the new Restart Art project, which gives everyday objects a second life: items that might otherwise be thrown away become part of a still-life collection and inspire new works of art. And here’s the best part – if you have interesting old objects at home, you’re welcome to bring them to the studio and make them part of the creative process!
We also talked about new locations: Sunday classes during the school year in Strassen, Friday sessions in Nittel, Germany, and of course the long-standing Differdange studio, which stays open to everyone.
Veronica also shared her plans to unite art teachers into a professional community, and to continue with cultural trips and museum practices – open to all who would like to join.
