The Ministry of Education published results showing 74% of candidates passed this year’s final secondary‑school exams on their first attempt, up one percentage point on 2025; 17% were set for resits and 9% failed. Pass rates were 82% in the classical stream and 68% in the general stream, with girls slightly outperforming boys in the classical stream while boys led in the general stream. A total of 179 pupils received the “Excellent” distinction.
LCGB and OGBL described Wednesday’s meeting with Wolt and a couriers’ delegation as “deeply disappointing” and unproductive. The unions declared Wolt’s representatives failed to answer questions on pay calculations, recent unilateral fee cuts, subcontractor practices, accident handling and recognition of couriers as employees. Wolt said it was phasing out fleets by early July, defended its model and accused unions of hijacking the meeting to vent, and both unions have scheduled further internal talks though no follow‑up meeting with Wolt has yet been set.
