Cosmic Trigger – January Edition
Just a few days before this episode was recorded, a planned interview had to be cancelled at short notice. Rather than replacing it in a hurry, the team decided to embrace the situation and devote this edition of Cosmic Trigger to even more music.
In the January episode, Obi and Lex focused mainly on releases from 2025 that had not yet found their way into the show. The result was a broad and carefully curated selection of fresh tracks, highlighting the richness and diversity of the past year’s output. Obi prepared a short mini-special presenting five stylistically very different artists from Estonia, offering listeners a fascinating glimpse into one of Europe’s most exciting underground scenes.
After two hours of music, the show concluded with a pre-recorded interview with the Cologne-based indie pop / post-punk band Treffpunkt Jane. The interview had previously been aired three weeks earlier on the programme Der Daiwel steet virun der Dier, and provided an engaging and in-depth look at one of Germany’s most promising alternative acts.
Together, this January edition of Cosmic Trigger combined discovery, variety and insight — a perfect soundtrack to start the year.
