About this Episode
A lot was happening in the November edition of Cosmic Trigger. Besides a live interview with SACEM President Marc Nickts, we also aired a pre-recorded interview with the German punk band Turbolent.
SACEM Luxembourg is the national branch of the French rights management organization SACEM – the Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Éditeurs de Musique. It is responsible for protecting and administering the rights of composers, lyricists, and music publishers in Luxembourg.
Its core tasks include issuing licenses for public performances – such as concerts, radio broadcasts, festivals, streaming, or background music – and distributing the royalties to the rights holders.
SACEM Luxembourg also supports local artists, encourages musical creativity, and serves as a point of contact for questions about copyright, music usage, and legal frameworks.

Turbolent is a German punk band known for a powerful blend of classic punk rock, modern influences, and a clear political edge. Their music mixes raw energy with catchy melodies and direct, sometimes deliberately uncomfortable lyrics that address social issues, personal struggles, and the everyday madness of our times.
Live, Turbolent are an experience of their own: intense, loud, honest, and always driven by a strong message. Their shows thrive on close interaction with the audience, plenty of movement on and off stage, and a sound that hits straight ahead.
With their releases — including several singles, EPs, and a growing list of live favorites — Turbolent prove that German punk in 2025 is still angry, relevant, and full of heart. The band is widely regarded as an exciting, authentic voice in today’s punk scene, staying true to their DIY roots.
