Das Radial – Between Human and Machine
Das Radial is the solo music project of Luxembourgish actor and musician Max Thommes, who positions himself with this artistic persona somewhere between man and machine. Since around 2015, Thommes has been developing a dystopian stage figure that blurs the lines between dream and reality.
A Concept Beyond Music
Das Radial is more than a musical act: it is an interdisciplinary project combining electronic music, digital media, dance, and live performance. With sharp beats and pointed lyrics that critique society and digital culture, Thommes crafts a unique cosmos where sound, visuals, and performance collide.
From INBORN! to Independence
After nearly a decade as the drummer of INBORN! – a band produced by Ross Robinson – Thommes launched his own creative path in 2019 with Das Radial. The project reflects his transition from a classical band setup into a visionary solo persona with a distinctly futuristic aesthetic.

Das Radial’s upcoming EP “RADIKAL_VIRAL”, supported by the Fonds stART up, will mark the next milestone with a release and live tour in preparation. Previous works include:

- “TERROR_TERRESTRIS” – short film-like video, written and directed by Thommes himself
