In the June edition of Cosmic Trigger, there was just one interview – but plenty of new music, as you can see in the playlist below. Alongside exciting new releases, we also shared a number of worthwhile concert recommendations. Toward the end of the show, we featured an interview with Garish. Below, you’ll find more information about the band and their new album.

Garish have long been one of Austria’s most distinctive voices in alternative pop—delivering poetic lyrics, lush arrangements, and a subtle emotional resonance that sets them apart in the German-speaking music world. With their newest album, Am Ende wird alles ein Garten (“In the End, Everything Becomes a Garden”), the band once again cultivates a sonic landscape that invites both introspection and renewal.

This album feels like a quiet revelation. True to its title, it explores themes of decay and growth, endings and beginnings—woven together with the band’s characteristic delicacy. Garish embrace both melancholy and hope without ever tipping into sentimentality. Instead, they let their songs bloom gradually: understated yet rich, organic yet intricately crafted.

Musically, Am Ende wird alles ein Garten shows Garish at their most mature and confident. There are no grand gestures, only carefully chosen words and finely tuned sounds. The arrangements are thoughtful, sometimes minimalist, often textured—like a garden that seems wild at first glance but is full of hidden order and beauty.

For long-time fans, the album is a continuation of everything that makes Garish beloved. For new listeners, it’s a perfect entry point into a band that consistently proves that great art doesn’t need to shout to be heard. In a world that often rushes, Garish remind us to slow down—and listen.
