In the Cosmic Trigger edition of May 2nd, we featured an interview with the Luxembourgish band A Last Effect. Although the band is still relatively new, the two musicians can certainly be considered veterans of the Luxembourg rock scene. Alain Mertens (guitars, vocals, keys, drums) and Steve Niesen (bass, vocals) have been active in numerous bands over the past 30 years, with Orange Squad likely being the most well-known among them. The two talked extensively about their current studio project and didn’t rule out the possibility that A Last Effect could eventually evolve into a full-fledged band with live performances.

For the second time, the show featured an interview with Dutch artist Simone Van Vugt, who is better known by her stage name Lov3less. Following the release of her debut album Corner Cutter in May, her new album Chief Executive Officer is now out. Once again, the charming Dutch singer-songwriter succeeds in crafting perfect pop songs that steer clear of commercial clichés. As always, her lyrics are deeply personal and emotional, touching on themes such as love, relationships, loneliness, and feeling like an outsider.
