Port of Mertert reopens
Following the oil spill incident in the Moselle River, the port of Mertert has reopened after successful cleanup operations. The Administration of Water Management (AGE) confirmed that measures to eliminate the harmful substance and prevent its spread have been completed. Investigations into the source of the pollution are ongoing in collaboration with the police, and it has been determined that the port’s infrastructure, including the oil separator, is not the source of the leak.
