First repatriation flights brings Luxembourgers home
The first repatriation flights bringing Luxembourgers home from the Middle East have landed at Luxembourg Airport , as the government coordinates evacuations amid the regional conflict. One flight operated by Luxair and another chartered by the government departed from Muscat, carrying about 200 passengers in total. The first plane arrived shortly before 2pm on Thursday. According to Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel, further evacuation flights may follow, possibly involving military aircraft and cooperation with Belgium, as authorities continue efforts to bring stranded citizens home.
