ARA Russia for Peace N° 0025 – 20.03.2026 – Anastasia Vanden Berghe: Creativity, Decision-Making, and the Thinking Mind

Hello, you are listening to the radio Ara. I am Marina Khomutova and this is a radio show ARA RUSSIA for peace.
Today my guest is Anastasia Vanden Berghe, a PhD researcher in cognitive psychology studying creativity and its role in decision-making. Not just in the arts, but in a much broader sense, creativity is about problem-solving, innovation, and finding ideas that are both new and useful.
Anastasia grew up in the United States after her family immigrated from Russia. Alongside her academic work, she is a trained artist exhibiting classical and abstract pieces, and a volunteer with Rotary, a global service organization active in Luxembourg and beyond.
Today we’ll reflect on what creativity really means in a world that often rewards speed over depth, and whether creative thinking can help us make wiser, more human choices.
Stay with us – this conversation might change the way you think about thinking itself.

Libraries. Echoes of the Written Word.

Libraries serve as more than mere repositories of books; they are cultural landmarks that embody the essence of human history, memory, and creativity. Each library, with its unique architecture and design, stands as a testament to the civilizations that built them, reflecting their values, aspirations, and intellectual endeavors.Â
