Radio ARA at the launch of DAB+ in Luxembourg

Yesterday marked an important moment for radio in Luxembourg: the official launch of DAB+, the digital broadcasting standard that will shape the country’s audio landscape in the years ahead.

Radio ARA was present at the announcement, represented by Guy (Alter Echos), Tom (Mond Op asbl), Romy and Marc (Graffiti asbl), and Adrian (ARA’s technician). Their presence underlines Radio ARA’s commitment to staying involved in the future of Luxembourgish media and ensuring that independent, community-driven radio has a place in the digital era.

DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting) offers clearer sound, stronger coverage, and a far more efficient use of the spectrum than traditional FM. For listeners, this means higher audio quality and more room for the diversity of voices that define Luxembourg. More information about the DAB+ rollout in Luxembourg is available here: www.dabplus.lu.

This launch is an important step for the entire radio sector, and we are proud to be part of this transition toward a modern, accessible, and future-proof broadcasting environment.

More updates will follow as Luxembourg expands its digital radio offer.
